Es wird in Kürze bei der Universal Edition in Wien erscheinen.
Conversation basiert auf einem Stück, das ich in meiner Jugend für meine damalige Jazzrock-Band schrieb.
Vor einigen Jahren fand ich das Manuskript wieder und dachte sofort, dass ich Teile daraus für ein Werk für Orchester
verwenden könnte. So fing ich an zu komponieren, und über die Jahre gab es immer wieder Veränderungen.
Hier ist nun das Ergebnis.
Der Titel Conversation bezieht sich auf musikalische Unterhaltungen zwischen verschiedenen Orchestergruppen.
Manchmal wechseln sie sich ab, und manchmal „reden“ sie alle gleichzeitig. Die Atmosphäre rangiert von
aggressiv und kontrovers bis hin zu ruhig und freundlich, wie es oft der Fall ist, wenn Menschen zusammenkommen.
Für die Aufnahme habe ich die virtuellen Instrumente von NotePerformer verwendet, die einen sehr guten Klangeindruck vermitteln.

Conversation is based on a piece I wrote in my youth for my jazz rock band. Some years ago I found the manuscript and immediately thought I could use some of the material for a new orchestral work. Then I started to compose and over the years the piece underwent several transformations. Here is the result.
The title Conversation refers to musical talks between different orchestral groups. Sometimes they talk seperately and sometimes they talk together. The atmosphere changes between aggressive and controversal and calm and friendly, as it is often the case when people come together.
For the recording I used the virtual instruments of NotePerformer which convey a very good sound impression.

Unsere heutige Zeit ist geprägt von schrecklichen Ereignissen (Kriege, Hass), Angst, Unzufriedenheit und Fake News. Gerade jetzt ist es notwendig zur Ruhe zu kommen und aus dieser Ruhe heraus konstruktiv nachzudenken. Dieses Programm will einen Beitrag dazu leisten. Zu Gehör kommen Werke von Bach aus verschiedenen Suiten und im Kontrast dazu aus dem Hier und Jetzt Kompositionen von Leo Brouwer und Rainer Stegmann.

Our time today is characterized by terrible events (wars, hatred), fear, dissatisfaction and fake news. Especially now it is necessary to come to rest and think constructively out of this calm. This program wants to contribute to this. Works by Bach from various suites and in contrast to this from the here and now compositions by Leo Brouwer and Rainer Stegmann are heard.
